We booked an 11 night safari tour through Passionate Guides Tanzania. We booked almost a year in advance and had constant contact with Catherine, from their office, right until our safari began. Our questions, which were many at times, were always answered promptly and accurately. The owner of the company met with us the night before we were picked up and provided great information regarding what to expect. We had three different drivers because we started in Kenya, went into Tanzania and then back into Kenya. Each driver was different but each had tremendous strengths and each one wanted to make our game drives the most memorable that they could be. Their experience allowed them to go to the perfect place, every time, to get the best views and photographs of animals while not being disruptive to them. The drivers were professional, courteous and full of information. We loved them all but especially loved Wiston, whom we are still in touch with. He became part of our family during our time together. The cost of the safari was well worth our experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat. It was less expensive that I would have thought for everything that we got-private drivers/tour guides for the entire time, lodging, meals, bottled water and beginning and end transportation to/from Nairobi. I highly recommend Passionate Guides Tanzania and would not book with anyone else!

The service and value throughout the journey were phenomenal. The border transition was handled seamlessly by both crews, and the Tanzanian leg was extraordinary, featuring attentive drivers, expert guides, and sit-down table lunches in the wild. While the Kenya portion could use a bit of refinement in vehicle comfort and roadside dining to match the outstanding standards set in Tanzania, the overall experience was phenomenal. Even when minor vehicle issues arose on rough terrain, the crew fixed everything instantly.
Having Beatus step in as our guide toward the end was an incredible bonus. He shared his inspirational vision for Passionate and even invited us to visit his family home on the way to the airport—a heartwarming, personal touch money can't buy. From witnessing the Great Migration river crossing to spotting the Big 5 and exploring the Ngorongoro Crater, Passionate delivers a top-tier, highly trustworthy, and unforgettable safari experience!

We learned that private safaris are reserved for those who stay at lodges in the park. The group safari was a bit disappointing, but we understood the circumstances since we were lodging in Zimbabwe.

From the moment we arrived until the day we had to say goodbye, every detail was handled flawlessly. Our guide Beatus was incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and passionate about Tanzania and its wildlife. His ability to spot animals was nothing short of amazing—we saw the Big Five and countless other incredible animals.
The accommodations, food, transportation, and overall organization were outstanding. Every day brought unforgettable moments and breathtaking scenery that felt like something out of a nature documentary.
What truly made this experience exceptional was the genuine care and hospitality we received.

Wiston was able to tell us about their behaviours and habitats making the trip even better. We saw lots of different types of birds which were beautiful to photograph. Our accommodation was gorgeous and supports the local people and economy which is important to us. We stayed a night in a Masai camp learning about their lifestyle and culture. Exceptional experience on our honeymoon! Our guide Beatus was amazing. We spent 5 days with him. He was knowledgeable and no matter what question we asked about the animals, birds, plants, landscape and trees, Beatus knew the answer. He is professional and very in tune with nature. He gave us plenty of time to observe and connect with the wild life and would always tell us interesting information about them. We really enjoyed his calm presence and company. Beatus's ability to quickly recognise animals in the distance without binoculars was super impressive! He was eager to find animals for us and was very knowledgeable of the different routes to take around the parks. He always ensured we were happy throughout the trip and took very good care of us. No. Wildlife movements follow natural conditions and vary from year to year. We plan game drives around the season, but specific sightings and river crossings cannot be guaranteed.
The 10-day safari is designed to start and finish in Nairobi via Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The 7-day route begins and ends in Arusha, with airport transfers arranged in your proposal. For the 14-day safari, confirm the arrival and departure airports with our team before purchasing international flights.
Gorilla trekking arrangements are subject to permit availability and applicable participation requirements. Our team will confirm availability, suitability, permit costs and what is included in your quotation before you commit.
