Itinerary

After a pleasant arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or any other border posts of the country, you will be welcomed by one of the Donak Safaris representatives who will initially meet and greet you. After a short introduction of himself, he will transfer you to your dedicated hotel within Arusha City for your night stay on Bed and Breakfast.

After breakfast in your hotel in Arusha, drive to Tarangire National Park for game viewing and photographing.
Famous for its massive baobab trees, Home of the African elephants (with high concentration than any other park) and tree climbing pythons, Tarangire National Park is small but still home to a significant wildlife population, with a density of wildlife matched only by Ngorongoro. Dinner and overnight in Tarangire on Full board basis.

Today we drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of game drives. This is one of Tanzania’s smaller parks but still offers a rewarding and diverse safari experience.
The lakeshore at Manyara teems with birdlife, and while you are looking for the birds, you might spot one of the elusive tree-climbing lions. In the late afternoon, we make a short journey from the park to our Lodge. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge. Full board.

Lake Eyasi is about two hours’ drive from Manyara and just an hour drive south-west of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
On to the north-east you can see the Ngorongoro Highlands and to the north are the plains of the Serengeti; around 150 years ago when the warlike Masai tribes invaded Ngorongoro and Serengeti, the Datoga and other indigenous Bushmen lived there were driven south. Dinner and overnight at the Camp/ Lodge. Full board.

Breakfast, then drive towards the Serengeti National Park. Game en-route, also there is an opportunity to visit Olduvai Gorge. After lunch, we drive into the Serengeti itself and the rest of the afternoon is spent game viewing in the vast plains that are broken only by stands of acacia trees and the occasional kopje. Dinner and overnight at the Camp/ Lodge. Full board.

We have another full day in this wonderful park, rising early to make the most of our time. Our guides will choose the best spotting locations for the time of year; return to the camp for the night. Dinner and overnight at the Camp/ Lodge. Full board.

Early morning game drives before heading to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ngorongoro is a special place in that it is a Conservation Area, not a National Park; this means that the whole area is managed for both the animals and the local Masai people who graze their cattle alongside the indigenous wildlife. In the late afternoon, we travel just inside of Ngorongoro Conservation Area to our special lodge. Dinner and overnight at the Camp/ lodge. Full board.

After breakfast, descend to the Crater floor for a full day Crater tour with the Picnic Lunch. Supported by year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Late afternoon drive to Arusha for leisure, dinner and overnight on BB.

You will be picked up from your homestay, drive to the local masai village near the border of Tanzania/Kenya in Longido district.
Explore the authentic masai culture in their real homes. Visist the local masai market in the area, this only happens in Saturday so we shall set our dates accordingly. Afternoon lunch, barbeque and drinks in the area. After all the activities of masai dance and bomas visitation, we shall have a road transfer back to Arusha for dinner and overnight.
